Take a hike: Brice Creek Trail
COTTAGE GROVE, Ore.- - Summer is almost here: time to break out the boots and hit the trails. If you've hiked Mount Pisgah and Spencers Butte several times over, you might be looking for new hiking grounds.
Try Brice Creek Trail, featuring old growth forests and views of a sparkling creek.
The trail connects with the Trestle Falls Trail; take the upper or lower loop (or do the whole loop) for amazing waterfall views.
Directions
From Eugene, take 1-5 South to Cottage Grove exit 174. Head east and follow the signs to Dorena Lake.
Continue on the road past Dorena Reservoir, as it becomes Row River Road.
Continue on the road as it becomes Upper Brice Creek Road.
The lower trailhead is about one mile past the Umpqua National Forest entrance sign. You can park at Cedar Creek Campground or the Lund Park Campground.
To start at the Trestle Falls Loops, park at the Cedar Creek Campground.
