Search continues for man missing since May

By KVAL.com staffSPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- A man last seen in May who likes to camp in the wilderness and hang out in the Whiteaker neighborhood of Eugene has become the focus of a broader search. Thomas S. Davis, 40, was last seen by a family member in the Dorena, Ore., area on May 21. On May 27, Springfield police notifed the Lane County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue about the case. Search and Rescue issued a press release Thursday asking for the public's help locating Davis. Davis is 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighs approximately 250 to 300 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue colored “Spiderman” t-shirt, a light weight jacket and a small black backpack. Davis also wears a camouflaged baseball cap that has an eagle over an American flag patch on the front. Davis possibly suffers from some physical and mental health issues including diabetes. Davis has been known to go camping in the wilderness areas surrounding the community of Dorena and also frequents the Whiteaker neighborhood of Eugene.
