PLEASANT HILL, Ore. -- Fire destroyed an empty home in rural Lane County early Tuesday morning.

The fire happened around 12:30 this morning near the Trent Church of Christ between Pleasant Hill and Dexter.

Firefighters from Goshen, Dexter, Lowell and Pleasant Hill helped fight the blaze. Several tankers had to be brought in to help.

"This particular area has a non-hydrented area. so we have to truck in all of the water that is used to fight this fire," said David Wlting, Goshen Fire District chief.

The fire completely destoryed the building but because it was vacant, no one was hurt.
