Where was Brooke Wilberger's body found?
Brooke Wilberger By KVAL.com staffCORVALLIS, Ore. -- Acting on a description provided by killer Joel Courtney on Friday, investigators found the first of Brooke Wilberger's remains on private property in Benton County in the Coast Range, the district attorney said Monday. "We found the first remains Saturday morning and continue to uncover remains even as we speak," District Attorney John Haroldson said. Haroldson said the search was done without attracting public attention in order to preserve the site from any interference and to comply with a court order not to publicize anything about the plea agreement until after sentencing. Courtney led investigators to Wilberger's body over the weekend. On Monday, he pleaded guilty to murder. As part of the deal, he will not face the death penalty but will spend the rest of his life behind bars. |
