Volunteers clean up pioneer cemetery vandalism
EUGENE, Ore. -- Volunteers continued to clean up the mess left by vandals who wrecked a pioneer cemetery in the Santa Clara neighborhood of Eugene last week.
Crews were at Luper Cemetery on Tuesday. Vandals left the pioneer cemetery in ruins Oct. 12. | PHOTOS OF VANDALISM
The cemetery is older than the state of Oregon, dating back to the 1853. A volunteer group has held four events this year alone to cleanup the site.
