KEIZER, Ore. -- The bartender told the armed robber to save himself and his time: The establishment was full of surveillance cameras.

The robber shot back that he needed the money: His daughter had the swine flu.

Police responded to the robbery at the Good Times Bar in Keizer, Ore., at 2:20 a.m. and mounted a search for the suspect. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with baggy blue jeans and a black ski mask covering the majority of his face.

The suspect is described as a white male between 22 and 25 with a scruffy mustache and facial hair.

The robber demanded money from the cash register and told the bartender he had a gun. The bartender later told police she tried to convince the suspect not to rob her and told him that there were numerous cameras in the bar.  During their conversation, the suspect told the bartender he needed the money because his daughter has swine flu.

After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled from the bar in an unknown direction.  Keizer Police K9 Officer Scott Keniston and his partner “Bas” attempted to track the suspect but were ultimately unsuccessful in locating him.
