Thousands of youth living on the streets
EUGENE, Ore - According to the Looking Glass New Roads program in Eugene nearly 2,200 youth live on the streets of Lane County . The organization joined national efforts today to raise awareness about runaways.
The Looking Glass New Roads program provides services to runaway and homeless youth. Program director Eric Van Houten said by providing housing, education and resources to young people, New Roads is able to help them get back on their feet.
Thursday night the organization hosted a march in downtown Eugene in honor of National Runaway Prevention Month.
