Police investigating death of baby in Canyonville
CANYONVILLE, Ore. -- Sheriff's detectives are investigating the death of a 10-month old baby girl in Canyonville Friday morning.
A police report says the baby was found in the water in a bathtub by a resident in an apartment on Stagecoach Road in Canyonville.
Sgt. Dave Marshall of the Douglas County Sheriff's department, says medics from the Canyonville Fire Department performed CPR on the baby and she was transported to Mercy Medical Center.
He says that they were not able to revive her.
The case has been referred to the District Attorney's Office to determine if any charges will be filed.
