Gifts should serve double-duty
EUGENE, Ore. -- Smart shoppers get more bang for their buck. Lifestyle guru Steve Kemble of the hit reality show "Whose Wedding is it Anyway?" says to think carefully about the gifts you are buying and do comparison shopping online.
Kemble's inside tip is that retailers didn't buy as many of each product this year so items might be limited. He says "If you really want something you need to buy early."
So what's hot this year? Gifts for the home and gifts that can do double duty. Kemble explains, "For example, if you're going to buy your child a plush toy, buy them a toy that's also educational so it's double duty. It serves two purposes."
He also says gift cards are the way to go this year. Why? You're not wasting money because you know your friend or family member can get exactly what they want.
