Fire rips through home in North Eugene
EUGENE, Ore. -- A fire broke out at a mobile home in North Eugene. It happened around 1:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon on Hillcrest Drive off River Road. No one was seriously hurt, but a man living in the house was treated by medics on the scene.
"We saw the smoke and so when we pulled up to the front of the porch to see what was going," said witness J.P. McIntyre. "And the owner, the guy that was living there, he came out and was standing right here in front of us."
Crews were on scene for more than an hour putting out hot-spots. The fire destroyed most of the home.
