Save money when you hit the slopes

EUGENE, Ore. -- There are several ski resorts in Oregon but we focused on the three that are closest to the Eugene/Springfield area.  Here's how to cut costs but still enjoy the slopes.

At Willamette Pass, participate in the Shell Ski Free program.  When you buy 10 gallons of gas, you get a coupon at participating Shell stations. Trade it in for "buy one get one free" on Twilight Tickets on Friday nights

The five day super pass costs $169.  That allows you to ski for five days for the price of four.

Don't forget about the Willamette Pass Express.  The bus from Berg's Ski Shop in Eugene is $15 round trip.  For pass holders it's $10.  The bus also goes to Mt. Bachelor and Hoodoo.

At Hoodoo, try Tight-Wad Tuesday.  Pay just $19 for a lift ticket.

A family of five can buy an Any Card at Berg's for $165.  The holder gets five ski passes which can be used by friends and family.  Plus, check out Hoodoo season passes.  Last year they were $300 and included unlimited use for the end of the season and the next season.

At Mt. Bachelor, kids ski free when an adult buys a three day ticket.  Children then get the same ticket for free.  With "buy two get three," you can reserve a two night ski and stay with the third night and day free.

The Friendmaker is a good deal.  Those who ski with a pass holder get a ticket for $39 Tuesday through Thursday through February 11th.
