The sequence of still images over Paul Harvey's ode to the American farmer barely mentions the sponsor, yet makes you start looking for the sponsor - a success for the brand, although that much Super Bowl ad time must have cost a bundle.
But the still images and audio Americana stood out and resonated in a sea of common tropes and meta ads.
"Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd and LeBron James were the next big things.... So God made a farmer," another Tweet read.
God made a farmer and the Budweiser Clydesdale commercial both tugged at my heart strings and neither had sex and scantily clad women. It was nice to see some good Americana for a change!
