EUGENE, Ore. -- The Eugene Coca-cola plant could be moving some of their operations further north, a spokesperson in Portland said Friday.
The move would be an effort to consolidate their Eugene distribution operations to their production center in Wilsonville, Ore.
Anna Aladzer at Coca Cola said that the consolidation is still in the proposal stages and the company hasn't made a final decision or set a timeline for the move.
Aladzer said that the proposal came about in-part because of the lack of space at their Chad Drive location.
The move would put 24 warehouse drivers out of work, while 21 new positions would be created in Wilsonville.
If it the proposal is finalized, officials said that the Chad Drive location would close and move the sales operations to a different Eugene location.
