Do you know her? Police seek woman's identity
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Police have asked for the public's help in identifying a woman known to be in the Springfield/Eugene area.
The woman, seen in these photos on a public bus, is described as a white woman with reddish/blonde hair.
Springfield Police have not yet released why they are looking for this woman's identity.
Officials ask anyone with information about her identity to call SPD Detective Crolly at 541-726-3721.
I'm not at all anti-police but I think a lot of people would like them to have stated that they are interested in indentifying her because: she is a person of interest or suspect in a crime; believed to be a possible witness or have information; believed to have been abducted or in danger...something. All antogonism aside, I imagine there must be a reason they don't though (and it may actually be for her protection)...such a vague statement without any explanation is pretty unusual.
@eugene123 ---she may be on the protected witnesses program for testifying against some small time gangsters that the FBI is trying to locate. NO BIGGIE said BIG bird!
Now Class, can we say the letter "C"---Chong! Tommy Chong!
I found your nose and it's in my business again.
I know who it is. It's Big Bird's ex-girlfriend who had gone into hiding after he gave her: "Chirpies, a Canarial disease that is Untweetable"
It's Kitty P. the so called mayor of Eugene =)
The government is seeking out this person in relations to (insert tinfoil hat comment here).
And I should violate this person's privacy because an unidentified 'police' person wants to do what to/for/about her? Sorry, guys, you don't have that kind of credibilty any more, and haven't had for decades.
@hewhoo Kind of what I was thinking. I'm not anti-cop necessarily, but they're certainly going to have to give me more than that to go on before I start getting suspicious of every fellow citizen with a bad fashion sense for yellow.

Can you imagine if it was someone wearing a turban or a burka? They'd never send out such a vague picture asking for everyone to be on the look out. In our PC world, that would villified by the liberals as profiling and shouted down.
