Expect delays this week on Hwy 126 east of Florence
FLORENCE, Ore. - Oregon Highway 126W (Florence-Eugene Hwy) will be restricted to a single lane 3 miles east of Florence at Cushman starting Wednesday morning while a contractor conducts a culvert repair project.
Beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, and continuing until noon on Thursday, December 13, traffic will be restricted to a single lane of travel controlled by flaggers, the Oregon Department of Transportation said.
Motorists can expect 10 to 20 minute delays during construction.
I have only driven this highway 3 times in my life. All three times, I saw terrible accidents. All 3 times I actually saw not just motorists but bicyclist?! I am a big fan of bicycles and skateboards. But, there are limits to where I will ride.
Beware the bicyclist on this road. However rare, they do travel on this highway. I could not believe it, until I saw it.
