Gym owner fights off knife-wielding car prowler

Gym owner Greg Price was on his way to a family dinner on Christmas when he stopped by his Longview business.
He had just left his car for a couple minutes outside the gym. When he returned, Price came face to face with an armed car prowler.
That began Price’s dangerous confrontation in which he narrowly avoided being stabbed but managed to fight the attacker away.
The fight began after Price spotted the man loitering outside the gym, Forever Fit. The stranger was in a hoodie and standing by his car.
“He had his arms in the window grabbing,” he said.
The attacker turned, wielding a knife. Price ducked, missing the knife, and then swung a punch at the man.
“It was a pretty hard punch,” he said. “It him in the stomach and caused that reflex where you drop the knife.”
That’s when Price grabbed the weapon and stabbed the attacker, though he doesn’t think the stab deeply penetrated because of the man's hooded sweatshirt.
The man ran off, carrying items he had looted from the car: a printer and an envelope with $500 from one of Price’s clients.
Price said he wasn’t worried about the stolen items. He credits his fitness training for being able to defend himself.
“I consider myself lucky because it could’ve turned out a lot worse,” he said.
One of Price’s clients, Tom Grasser, said it was the attacker who was fortunate.
“He’s lucky he got away the way he did because he could have easily been hurt real bad by Greg,” Grasser said.
the story doesnt add up to me! you still after all of what you said. still let the guy run off with your belongings especialy after you disarmed the dude and give him a stoamach punch plus took his knife away and stabbed him?? i am not buying the story. if it was myself i woulda put alot more hurt on the guy! and deffinatly wouldnt have let him still steal my stuff!
Lets see after I get stabbed I will throw a printer on my shoulder put a bunch of money in my pocket grab the knife I just got stabbed with after getting punched so hard it knocks me down then I run away from the person protecting his stuff and I am so good I still got his stuff and he just stands by and watches me run away. Did I mention that the guy protecting his stuff is still at this point unharmed and physically fit? Sounds like a insurance scam to me or someone just having hard times. If I am wrong shame on me for my impression.
Not sure I believe this story.
man stabbed and carrying a printer and cash runs away. and this guy just let him leave, where is the knife with dna, the dude had to get stiched up. lucy you have som splanin to do
A man in a hoodie on the loose.  I wonder if a description of the culprit would help other potential victims avoid him and the public to tip off the police on suspects?  No, that would probably violate the criminal's right to privacy and might even be a race crime.  As with Serious A Schooler, that does sound a bit suspicious.  Let's see how this plays out.
Sounds a bit fishy to me?
