EUGENE, Ore. -- A man suspected of assaulting an elderly Eugene woman was extradited to Eugene after a three and a half month investigation, police said.
On Sunday morning police in Memphis, Tennessee arrested 31-year-old Jackson Harpol on outstanding warrants from Batesville, Mississippi. After Harpol was lodged in Mississippi, Eugene Police officials received a notification that one of their suspects had been caught.
Detectives said that they have evidence linking Harpol to a home invasion case in Eugene from July 24th.
Three days after the incident took place detectives found the woman's car in Portland.
Harpol waived extradition and was flown to Eugene on Monday to face charges.
Harpol is lodged at the Lane County Jail on multiple first degree charges including kidnapping, burglary, sodomy and robbery.
