Sex offender accused of masturbating in front of mother and child
EUGENE, Ore. - A sex offender faces charges of public indecency after police say he masturbated in front of a mother and daughter in a laundromat in Springfield in December 2012.
Wallace Stankewitz was arraigned Friday in connection with the December 18 incident.
At the time, the suspect got away, police said. The man was caught on surveillance camera at a nearby store, however, and the mother and daughter identified him from the footage, Sgt. Dave Lewis said.
The next time the man came in to the store, an employee called police.
Stankewitz faces charges of public indecency and failing to register as a sex offender.
Who was it that redefined cruel and unusual punishment? I`m pretty sure that back in the day when the constitution was conceived, This kind of guy would have had the offending part removed and shoved down his throat before he was hanged.. I`ll bet it worked! Now, They register as sex offenders(or not) and they`re let out to blend right in with the rest of us until they get caught again and then the cycle repeats itself. I like the old way better. I`m getting really tired of giving the keys to the city to people who shouldn`t even be allowed on the sidewalk
