UO student: Knife-wielding man wanted money

EUGENE, Ore. - A man with a knife demanded money from University of Oregon student early Friday morning, the student told campus and city police.

The student said he pushed the suspect and ran away.

The confrontation happened west of Pioneer Cemetery, east of the Education Annex, campus police said.

The suspect was described as a black man in his early 20s, 6-feet tall with medium build. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket and dark jeans.
