Dangerous crib tent recalled

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - One baby is dead and another has a serious brain injury because of a faulty baby crib tent.
Several other injuries have been reported.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says that a rod can break, causing the tent to become inverted and trap babies. In one such case, a parent reported finding her child turning blue and entrapped between the tent and the top rail of the play yard.
The tent is made by Tots In Mind INC. While different models went by different names, you can recognize it by the Tots In Mind tag located on all of the tents.
Amazon.com, Toys R Us and Babies R Us, along with Bed Bath And Beyond, Burlington Coat Factory and Walmart have decided to voluntarily recall the tents and offer refunds or store credit. The manufacture, Tot's In Mind INC, is now out of business.
Recalls of children's items are all too common and this has many people concerned.
"It is alarming, every time you go into Babies R Us or Toys R Us, there is a wall of recalled toys so i guess you just have to be more on your game as a parent to make sure you are buying the right things," said parent, Sarah Papanikolas.
"I understand that obviously they want to make a profit so they just want to get it out there so they can start getting money," said Chalise Thomson.
If you have one of these tents officials are warning to stop use immediately.
