Airline to suspend Eugene-Hawaii flights

EUGENE, Ore. - Allegiant Airlines is again saying aloha to Eugene-to-Hawaii non-stop service.

The trick is, "aloha" can mean "hello" or "goodbye."

The airline plans to end service to Honolulu this August and then bring the service back for the holidays, according to Cathryn Stephens, a spokesperson for the Eugene Airport.

She said the move doesn't surprise airport officials. Allegiant is known for adding and dropping flights depending on their popularity.
