No. 7 Worst: Communication
In Al Asad, Iraq, the wireless Internet is painfully slow, and ever since Thanksgiving the morale line has been busy until the wee hours of the morning.
“It takes about 15 tries over 20 minutes to get through on the phone,” says Lt. Mike Bokma, 27, Vancouver, Wash., who gets frustrated because when the call finally goes through it just rings.
“You finally get through and you get voicemail because other people are living their lives too,” says Bokma.
