Cirque du Soleil cancels 1 of 2 Eugene 'Michael Jackson' shows

EUGENE, Ore. - Cirque du Soleil canceled one of two performances of "Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour" scheduled for Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene this month.
The Nov. 15 performance is still on, but the Nov. 16 show has been canceled "due to restrictions on the transportation time between cities," Cirque du Soleil said Thursday. "These unforeseen issues are due in-part to the overall size of the production."
The next scheduled show after Eugene is Portland, Ore., on Nov. 18.
Ticket holders for the Wednesday, Nov. 16, performance will be contacted by the Matthew Knight Arena Box Office to be offered an opportunity to exchange their tickets for the Nov. 15 performance or be fully refunded.
A spokeswoman for the show told KVAL News that her understanding is that there are enough seats available Tuesday to accommodate all ticket holders.
Tickets are still available for Nov. 15 show. Tickets are available at www.matthewknightarena.com or 1-800-WEBFOOT. For additional information, visit www.cirquedusoleil.com/MichaelJackson.
