Fireworks over Fern Ridge

Richardson & Orchard Point Parks will be open late into the evening on the Fourth of July to allow the community to view the Eugene Yacht Club’s annual fireworks display on Fern Ridge Lake.

Several years ago, Lane County ceased keeping Richardson and Orchard Point parks open for the public to watch the annual fireworks show hosted by the Eugene Yacht Club.

This year, Lane County has teamed up with the Yacht Club to bring the tradition back.

“We have missed the show and want to bring it back for the public," Parks Manager Mike Russell said. "Eugene Yacht Club has partnered with us to bring a fabulous show for folks.  There’s just something about watching fireworks over a lake that makes Independence Day so special.”

Admission to Richardson and Orchard Point parks will be $5 per vehicle for the day.

Fireworks are not allowed within Lane County parks.
