Whether it's fashion, a fundraiser or just for fun, the Condom Fashion Show is certainly something.

EUGENE, Ore. -- Student models walk the runway at University of Oregon in nothing but condoms -- condoms, mind you, re-imagined as couture.

The second annual Condom Fashion Show is Friday at 8 p.m. in the EMU Ballroom on the University of Oregon campus. Students, faculty and staff are invited to design apparel or accessories made out of condoms.

Participants can show off their creations in a fashion show DJed by DJ Foodstamp.

The event is designed to raise awareness and educate students about the global impact of HIV/AIDS.

In addition to the runway, student groups and individuals will perform skits and give short presentations on HIV/AIDS, prevention and ways to get involved. For example, Students for Choice will perform a skit that criticizes the way funds were distributed during the Bush administration for global women’s health issues.

At the end of the night, audience members are invited to a benefit concert at the Campbell Club. Local bands such as Four Trees and the Blast Majesty will play and all of the profits will be donated to the FACE AIDS campaign.

The event is a project of the UO Women's Center, Peer Health Alliance, the Cultural Forum and UO Students for Global Health.
