8-1-1 Chopper bike

EUGENE, Ore. - That loud noise you may have heard around noontime (June 1) by the Eugene Water and Electric Board plaza brought out fans by the dozens.
Straight from the workshop of Paul Teutal, Jr. and the "American Chopper" television show was the 8-1-1 damage prevention bike.
The custom-designed bike is on a national tour to promote dialing 8-1-1 for underground utility line locations before starting any project that involves digging.
It was on display at the E-WEB plaza for about 2 hours Friday.  Some of the custom features included a backhoe shovel built into the front wheel frame, a shovel head
fit into the side of the bike, and many others.
