Oprah Winfrey has returned to the top of the pack. The media mogul has resumed her number-one spot on the Forbes list of the world's most powerful celebrities, alongside many other women, including Ellen DeGeneres and Lady Gaga.

Winfrey, who experienced a few setbacks since starting her own television network, bounced back in a big way in the last year -- her emotional interview with Lance Armstrong, for example, proved that she still had the chops that had made her a famous talk-show host.

Also in the top of the largely-female group? Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Madonna, and Taylor Swift -- all of whom have made big money on ticket sales for epic, sold-out stadium concerts. Steven Spielberg is the only male in the top five. Justin Bieber is ranked 9th, though he is the king of social media.

Forbes factored in social media presence, income, marketability, press coverage, and time spent on television and the radio.
