'Teach me how to brushy' is both educational and an Internet hit

PORTLAND, Ore. – Do you know how the brushy? That’s brushy, as in brush your teeth.

A new public service announcement from the Oregon Dental Association is teaching kids how to “brushy” and going viral in the process.

The clever video features a rapper teaching kids how to brush their teeth. It’s a spoof of the rap song “Teach me how to Dougie.” (Don’t know the song and associated dance? Type “teach me how to dougie” into Google for a crash course.)

The video features Oregon kids, plus a few local celebs, singing and dancing along to the educational rap song.

It has now started to go viral, including being featured on the Huffington Post and Good Morning America.

Two of the video’s stars are a boy named Luke and his sister Grace, who just happen to be the children of KATU anchor/reporter Melanie Wingo.

As of Thursday afternoon, the video had almost 140,000 views on YouTube.
