PeaceHealth Medical Group’s Urgent Care is relocating to RiverBend Pavilion in Springfield. The clinic will close at its Eugene location on Willamette Street at 10 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14, and open for its regularly scheduled hours at RiverBend Pavilion from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15.
Urgent Care is open 7 days a week and sees approximately 40,000 patients a year. The new clinic at RiverBend Pavilion will increase the size of Urgent Care from 4,400 square feet to 7,200 square feet. In addition, the number of rooms will increase 30% from nine to twelve private exam rooms, allowing for increased efficiency of care.
“The new clinic allows for a larger, more private and more modern clinic with immediate access to the highest levels of imaging and lab work available,” explained Peggy Schultz, Manager of Urgent Care.
LTD bus service to the new PeaceHealth Medical Group Urgent Care location is available from downtown Eugene using the LTD Route 12 bus. It is important to note that PeaceHealth will continue to operate a 24-hour emergency room at Sacred Heart Medical Center, University District, for people who need immediate access to health care in Eugene. The PeaceHealth Medical Group downtown Eugene clinic on Willamette Street also offers extended evening and weekend hours for existing family medicine patients who need medical care after business hours.
Although more than 35 physicians and the Urgent Care clinic are relocating to RiverBend Pavilion, many PeaceHealth Medical Group physicians will continue to see patients at the downtown Eugene clinic on Willamette Street in the following departments: dermatology, family medicine, geriatrics, internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, ophthalmology, optometry, the optical shop, behavioral health and pediatrics.
RiverBend Pavilion will house Urgent Care and physician offices from the following PeaceHealth Medical Group departments: gastroenterology, neurology, orthopedics, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, infectious disease and general surgery. The Prenatal Clinic, Oregon Bariatric Center, Oregon Imaging Centers, Sacred Heart’s Outpatient Physical Therapy and Oregon Medical Laboratories will also have offices located inside RiverBend Pavilion.
