Bone marrow donor drive runs out of test kits
EUGENE, Ore. - Ron Sexton needs a bone marrow transplant in his fight against blood cancer.
His gym, Courtsports, held a donor registry drive on Monday to try and find a match.
- and enough folks turned out to use up all the donantion kits on site.
Sexton said a woman visiting family from Portland took three buses from Thurston out to Courtsports to register as a possible bone marrow donor.
He gave her a ride back to Thurston as a thank you.
