SEATTLE -- The blues are back! The Blue Angels were out practicing Thursday over the I-90 bridge for their SeaFair shows this week.

Cmdr. Greg McWherter, the lead pilot, says there is something special about flying over the Puget Sound area.

"The landscape is beautiful, Lake Washington is a great great place to put on an air show, the venue is amazing," he said. (View photo gallery)

You can catch the Blue Angels practice show Friday, then the full shows Saturday and Sunday all between 12:45 p.m. and 2:40 p.m.

The I-90 bridge will be closed during those times.

AP Photographer Ted S. Warren got to go up in the skies for their practice run and captured some great photos.
