The six are among 17 students from Pac-10 schools featured in the magazine's October issue.

This past spring, Playboy photographers set out in search of models for the shoot.

Playboy Radio’s The Playboy Morning Show will interview several of the Pac 10’s featured models as part of their eighth annual college week (Sept. 20 through Sept. 24).

Thousands of coeds have auditioned over the years, according to the magazine, and many of those selected to appear in the magazine have gone on to become Playboy Playmates, including Playboy’s 2007 Playmate of the Year Sara Jean Underwood from Oregon State and Playboy’s Miss June 2008 Juliette Frette.

Playboy last featured the “Girls of the Pac 10” in its October 2005 issue.

The issue hits newsstands Friday. The last time Playboy featured women from Pac-10 schools was in 2005.

Two UW students were selected out of roughly 80 who auditioned last spring. Hayden Hayes, originally from Puyallup, is a senior majoring in communication. Joi Hollie, a Hansville native, is a junior also majoring in communication.

Michelle Wittenberg of Olympia is the only WSU student included in the issue, out of more than 30 who auditioned. She's a senior majoring in psychology.
