Untreated sex offender 'considered dangerous at this time'

EUGENE, Ore. - A wanted sex offender considered dangerous by law enforcement failed to show up at his home six days ago and missed a scheduled appointment with his parole officer three days ago, corrections officials said Thursday.
Michael Eastman is on parole for first degree attempted sex abuse and first degree burglary, according to Lane County parole and probation officials.
Lane County considers him an "untreated sex offender with severe mental health issues," according to a press release. "He should be considered dangerous at this time."
He failed to show up at his home on Sept. 24 and missed an appointment with his parole officer on Sept. 27.
Eastman was last seen wearing Levi denim jeans, a green T-shir, and a black hooded sweatshirt that zips in the front. He may also be wearing a black windbreaker-type jacket.
