Oregon man shot; 2 California men charged

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) — Two Bakersfield men have been charged with attempted murder after an Oregon man was shot and wounded when he opened the door to his apartment.

The Daily Courier reports that 21-year-old Jonathan J. Warren and 23-year-old Robert J. Mallory are accused of shooting 42-year-old Brian Jones of Grants Pass on Oct. 24.

Police said Jones was treated for a gunshot wound to the shoulder. He earlier had confronted Warren when Warren was talking loudly outside and Jones asked him to be quiet.

Warren and Mallory were arrested this week in California with help from the Bakersfield Police Department, the Kern County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals Office.
