ALBANY, Ore. - An estimated 40,000 people lined the streets from Interstate 5 to downtown for the annual Albany Veterans Day parade, billed as the largest event of its kind west of the Mississippi River.

Swarms of Seagulls

While I was in Winchester Bay to take sunset photos Sunday night, I saw such a huge number of seagulls soaring very high in the sky. There were tens of thousands of them and they were flying hundreds of feet in the air.
