Three injured in head-on crash

EDDYVILLE, Ore. - Three people were injured, one critically, in a two vehicle head-on crash on Highway 20 about one mile east of Eddyville on Thursday morning.
A 1995 Toyota Corolla with two occupants was westbound on Highway 20 around 8:30 a.m. Thursday negotiating a right curve when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with an eastbound 2010 Kia Soul.
The Toyota's 35-year-old female driver was critically injured and transported by REACH air ambulance to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.
The 35-year-old male passenger was transported by ground ambulance to the same hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. Both persons are from Prescott, Ariz. Police expected to release their names Thursday afternoon.
The Kia's driver, Danniel Kay, 49, from Newport, was also transported by ground ambulance to the same hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
All occupants were using safety restraints and the Kia's airbags deployed.
