EUGENE, Ore. - This is the latest rundown on power outages around the region, including Lane County.
The Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) as of 11:00 p.m. Sunday still has 1,500 customers without power; they expect most to be restored by 1am Monday.
E-PUD still had 10,000 to 12,000 in the dark from Creswell, Junction City, the Marcola Valley, Cottage Grove and other locations. Officials say 6 downed BPA power poles in Junction City really added to the headaches.
In Springfield, the Springfield Utility Board has restored power to about 4,000 customers. As of late Sunday there were still 1,200 customers without power.
At Lane Electric, close to 3,000 customers still were without electric service. That was down from 5,000 in the afternoon. The Blue River substation is still reported down but service has been restored to Oakridge.
Several other utilities report crews are working overnight but many service providers say because of extensive damage, full power restoration could take several days.
Pacific Power officials report by late Sunday night, 45,000 customers were still without service in its region, from Coos Bay/North Bend to Southern Oregon to pockets of service areas in the Willamette Valley.
