Beaver QB booted after DUI on Lake Shasta
Oregon State coach Mike Riley dismissed quarterback Peter Lalich from the team after he was arrested and charged with DUI while operating a boat on Lake Shasta. Lalich had transferred to Oregon State in September 2008 after being dismissed from the University of Virginia for alcohol-related offenses. With Lalich's departure, Riley tabbed sophomore Ryan Katz as the starter at quarterback.
