Haines gets deferred prosecution and a fine
Dustin Haines, the backup quarterback for the University of Oregon football team, pleaded guilty to interfering with police and a noise violation after initially pleading not guilty. A charge of resisting arrest against Haines was dismissed. He was sent to "deferred prosecution" on interfering with police and paid a fine for the noise violation.
