EUGENE, Ore. -  Northwest brewers showed off their beers at the Sasquatch Brew Fest in Eugene Saturday.

More than 40 breweries from across the Northwest were on-hand at the Eugene Hilton for the annual event. Festival-goers enjoyed music, craft brews and food during the event.

For brewers Henry Dietzman and Henry Gorgas, who own Fire Mountain Brewery in Carlton, Oregon, this event helps get their relatively new brewery out in the minds of the public.

"We sell in local stores," said Gorgas. "We're just trying to get out to the events. Everybody just kinda passes around information, and we just take what we can get and go from there."

The brew fest started in honor of local late brewer Glen Hay Falconer. It raises money for the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation, a non-profit that supports craft brewing by providing brewing scholarships.

The Sasquatch Brew Fest runs from noon to 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the Eugene Hilton.
