SEATTLE - Major the dog is not in major trouble with police.
That's the word from KOMO News photographer Peter Mongillo, who caught up with Major after his long run down the freeway.
Major apparently didn't have a leash on when he escaped from his owner's car Tuesday afternoon.
A KOMO News photographer spotted the dog downtown. Major apparently later made his way onto southbound I-5.
According to state patrol officials, a Black SUV pulled over to pick up the dog before exiting onto Mercer Street. Police met them there - followed by Major's owner.
His paws are a little bloody from the run, but otherwise Major is just fine.
The good Samaritan who plucked Major off the freeway was supposedly on the way to a job interview.
Perhaps the good deed will bring "major" luck.
