OSU football player arrested, 'suspended indefinitely'

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Oregon State University confirmed Beavers defensive tackle Castro Masaniai has been arrested.
Masaniai has also been "suspended indefinitely" from the football team, according to OSU Athletics Assistant Director of Communications Steve Fenk.
Masaniai was booked in the Benton County Jail on Saturday on charges of kidnapping II, coercion, disorderly conduct, harassment, and criminal mischief II.
Todd Simmons with Oregon State said the incident happened at a McDonald's restaurant Saturday.
Sgt. Jim Zessin with Corvallis Police said Masaniai tried to force his girlfriend into a car at the downtown Corvallis McDonald's restaurant, and there was a verbal argument. A witness saw it happen, and called police.
Zessin said the woman was uninjured.
Benton County District Attorney John Haroldson said the investigation is in its early stages, and that a charging decision will likely be made Monday.
According to Oregon State's roster, Masaniai is a junior from Waipahu, HI.
