UMPQUA, Ore. -- A fisherman found the body of Drake Wallace, 18, who was presumed drowned after vanishing under the rapids last week.

Wallace's body was about 4 miles downstream from where he went under, near the Umpqua Landing boat ramp.

According to reports, the body was found just before 5:00 p.m. by Mike Weaver of Winston, who was boating on the river.

Douglas County Sheriff's deputies say Wallace was swimming with friends, when he was pulled under by the current.
