Exhibit in Eugene honors 400 years of the King James Bible
EUGENE, Ore. - A national touring exhibit on the King James Bible is on display at Northwest Christian University, including a Bible from 1613.
The exhibit celebrates the 400th anniversary of the first printing of the King James Bible in 1611.
Library director Steve Silver says people can learn facts they may not know about the writing of the old text. Visitors "may not be aware that at one point it was illegal to translate the Bible into english and people literally gave their lives, risked their lives and gave their lives to translate the Bible into English," Silver said.
The exhibition runs through Oct. 28. >>> More Info
