Marines in Afghanistan explain their tattoos
Three Deployments, Two Births Missed
Squad Leader Sgt. Jose Murillo, of Echo Company's 3rd Platoon, wears his daughter�s name on his arm, etched in between a thin black band. "I missed her birth because I was in Iraq," says Murillo. "So I figured I owed her something." When his son is born next month he�ll get another tattoo to symbolize another birth he has missed.
