PLEASANT HILL, Ore. - Snow on Wedneseday morning was a welcome sight for student Conner Lindsley.
"First thought was no school," Lindsley said. "Second thought was definitely two-hour delay."
A healthy does of the white stuff in the hills above town meant a shorter school day in Pleasant Hill.
But down on the wet pavement in the rainy valley, some parents were confused.
"I don't really think it was worth the two-hour delay," said Aric Higdon.
"They were excited for it to be completely canceled, and that didn't happen," said Kim Mesa. "My daughter did not want to come today."
And as much as he wanted a snow day, Lindsley said he's happy to be at school.
"It's a double-edged sword," he said of snow days. "I get to go home and relax but at the same time I need to be there and I need to get some teaching."
