5K on the Runway: TrackTown on tarmac

EUGENE, Ore. - TrackTown12 took the day off Wednesday, but there was still a race in town.

The Eugene Airport teamed up with the Active 20-30 Club of Eugene to host the first-ever 5K on the Runway event.

The run gave 275 people the opportunity to race down the tarmac at the airport while raising money for local children's charities at the same time.

Organizers hope the 5K will become an annual event.
