Oregon wolf looking for love finds none in NorCal

A wolf from Oregon that has been looking for love in Northern California is getting the cold shoulder from one of the counties he has visited.
Citing fears that any wolves moving into California will attack cattle, Tehama County supervisors have told the California Fish and Game Commission that they oppose any moves to put wolves on the California endangered species list.
Supervisor Ron Warner said Friday that the letter was inspired by opposition raised by local cattle ranchers.
The wolf known as OR-7 has been roaming Northern California since last winter and there have been no reports of any attacks on livestock.
Noah Greenwald of the Center for Biological Diversity says they want a state endangered species listing in case federal protections are dropped.
