Whiteaker on display at the annual Block Party
EUGENE, Ore. -- Thousands took to the streets of the Whiteaker district for the festivities at the 6th annual block party Saturday.
The streets were lined with different vendors and craft workshops operated by community members. Music could be heard throughout the street blocks as local bands played the nine stages scattered throughout the neighborhood.
While the food vendors served up local favorites for block-partiers, the lines for the cool treats were the longest. Vendors scooped ice cream, and Ninkasi served up frosty pints in its beer garden, located across from the main stage.
The free event continues until 10 p.m.
