Police: Man fired gun in downtown Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. - A man brandished a gun and fired off several rounds during a fight at a downtown bar early Thursday morning, the Eugene Police Department said.

Police got a call reporting a fight and shots fired at Doc's Pad across the street from the Hult Center in downtown Eugene at 2:11 a.m.

Officers responded to the scene and were unable to locate a victim.

They did track down 20-year-old Michale Oliva on the 3rd floor of the parking garage at 6th and Willamette. Police said Oliva had brandished a weapon and fired several shots. No one was injured.

Oliva was taken into custody on charges of reckless endangering, menacing, unlawful use of a weapon and disorderly conduct.

Police also took 24-year-old Michael Gutierrez into custody on a charge of disorderly conduct, police said.
